Lycoming County Senior Citizen’s was established in the 1960’s as a non-profit organization to support all senior citizens in the county. There are currently 9 chapters in the county. If a resident is 50 years old or older they are eligible to join. Each year the County Commissioners give $10,000.00 to be divided amaong the County and the Chapters.
The local chapter is the Trout Run Senior Citizen Chapter which meets at the Trout Run United Methodist Church every second Tuesday of the month at 12:00pm. At every meeting there is a catered lunch for $7.00, a meeting, and also some entertainment such as music, a speaker, or bingo.
