Since 2007 Iva Mae Guillaume has served as Emergency Management Coordinator for Cogan House Township. She was appointed by Govenor Edward Rendall. She is a 1971 graduate of Liberty Jr./Sr. High School and a graduate of Bloomfield University in 1987 with a degree in Corporate Management. She is a certified Professional Level Emergency Mangement Coordinator. She holds certifications in Fire and Ambulance Services as well as certifications for the executive side of both Fire and Ambulance Services. She is a member of the Quigglesville United Methodist Church and a member of the Quigglesville United Methodist Women’s Society where she has held many positions.
Her duties as a coordinator include a multitude of assignments. She is responsible for designing the emergency plan for Cogan House Township and keeping it up to date as well as forwarding it to Lycoming County’s Department of Public Safety. In addition to her responsibilities in the township, she is the coodinator between the Township supervisors, the Lycoming County Emergency Management, the Pennsylvania EMA, and the Federal EMA. She also serves as the secretary/treasurer for the West Branch Emergency Management Association, Inc. She is also a member of PSATS newly formed Township Emergency Management Assosciation (TEMA). Needless to say, her training never ends.
Iva has been married to her husband, Edward Guillaume, for 48 years. She has a daughter Tena, her husband Bryan Bower, and their children Blaze and Destena Bower. Another daughter, Glenna, her husband LeRoy Paulhamus, and their daughter Anna. She has a new great grandson, Nixon Bower, son of Blaze and Jami Bower.
